Quick, Easy and Inexpensive Ambrosia Fruit Salad!

Around the holidays the most popular refrigerated salads are Watergate Salad (which I will post the recipe of) and Ambrosia Fruit Salad. For me, I don't care too much for Watergate Salad but u am an Ambrosia junkie. It is just TOO delicious!! This version has no walnuts in it, since I don't like those either, but you can add a cup or two of chopped pecans or walnuts. Whatever strikes your fancy. I decided to share a quick an easy Ambrosia Salad recipe that takes about 10 minutes to prepare and it sits overnight in the fridge!! Let's jump right into it:

Things you will need:
- Large Mixing Bowl
- Mixing utensil (no electric or hand mixers, it will crush the marshmallows and the fruit)

Ingredients:

1 8oz container frozen whipped topping (thawed)
2 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1 8oz can fruit cocktail (drained)
1 8oz container pineapple chunks (drained)
1 11oz can mandarin oranges (drained)
1 10oz jar maraschino cherries (drained)
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine whipped topping, coconut, drained fruit cocktail, pineapple, oranges, cherries, marshmallows, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Mix together well and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes, or overnight and it's ready to serve.

Hope you and your family enjoy this awesome recipe!!! Happy Thanksgiving and Have a Merry CHRISTmas!

Semi-Homemade Hamburger Helper!

Ok y'all, you know how I Iove my food. I'm Blessed a plenty to have the items to cook the food with. I actually had Hamburger Helper {chili cheese} for dinner the other night. It was..ehh...ok by itself...but...it needed that special 'something'. *Lightbulb* *ding ding ding* I added some store bought ingredients to make it taste somewhat 'homemade'. It worked. The after product tasted WAYYY better than the before product. I'm sharing my newly discovered recipe with you!! Let's get chopping, shall we?

First you'll need:
~Hamburger Helper Chili Cheese Flavor
{FYI: You will also need the requested ingredients on the back of the package}
~Bacon bits/chips
~Sharp/Extra Sharp Finely shredded cheese

•Cook everything according to the package. You won't need the extra two items until the end•

When you have the finished dish, to the skillet, add 2-3 cap/tablespoons of bacon bits/chips. Stir.
When that's done, add about 1 & 1/2 cups of the cheese. Make sure the cheese melts while you fold it in with a fork. If it doesn't, the eye of the stove should still be hot/warm, stick it on there and start to prepare the table, it should be awesomely melted by the time you're finished!

I almost guarantee that this dish, will me your go-to meal on a busy school/work week! It's completely delicious.
