1. Want to keep your phone bill and data down?? Here's a very important tip:
• Here's something you don't know about your iPhone: when your phone is locked, they're are apps that are running with no interaction needed!! They're up and runnin' , if you will. "But I locked my phone!" you say. "Yes, but you open those apps and they're running. Let me show you how to remove them.
Step 1 - Press your home button twice. Your screen should look like this -
If you will, look at the bottom of the picture and you will see all of my running apps. Yes. These are the apps that make your data go down and your bill go up and your wallet run out. Here's how to remove these apps and save ya'll some cash:
Step 1 - Press and hold your finger on an app in the running app section.
They should begin to wiggle and have a red circle with a minus sign inside -
To remove these apps:
Step 1 - Tap the little red circle until all the apps are gone. The screen should lol like this -
You should do this every night before you go to bed and you should see a difference in your data and bill price.
2. Keeping your child on a single app!!
If your child is adventurous when it comes to electronics, you need this. I suggest getting an app that has multiple games (toddlers and children tend to get bored with the same app) {My suggestions: Mindjolt, Doodlebuddy, etc}
Step 1 - Go to Settings
Step 2 - Tap General
Step 3 - Tap Accessibility
Step 4 - Tap Guided Access and turn it ON.
Step 5 - Set a pass code that your toddler or child cannot guess very easily (but please remember it or it'll be a mess)
Step 6 - Go to the app that you want your child to stay on and not venture into your phone or social networking apps, Press your home button 3 time, yes, 3.
Now your toddler or child can enjoy the app and you can sit back and know your kiddo isn't looking at your Facebook!
3. Hate your phone going to landscape mode when you want it on portrait?
When you want your phone to stay in portrait (vertical) mode, and it goes to landscape (horizontal) mode. Don'tcha just HATE that?!?! Well, here's how to fix it -
Step 1 - Double Tap your home button and the screen with your running apps should show up.
{Yes, this is the same pic I used earlier haha}
Step 2 - Swipe left on your running apps
You should see this (if you don't, swipe the other way! Lol)
Currently, my Portrait Orientation is Unlocked, meaning it can turn both ways (Portrait and Landscape)
To lock it, Just simply press the doohickey with the little half circle arrow that's grey. It should have a lock inside the half circle.
Now it says that the portrait orientation is now locked. Now you can stay "straight" if you will. Haha {cheesy pun, I know.}
Well, thank ya'll for visiting my page!! See you again!!
