How to have Indoor "Fishing Trips" in your house with the kiddos! Such a CUTE idea!

Ever heard this as a mom: "Mommy, Come play with me!" "Mommy, I'm Bored." Well, Stop all the whining this instant with the INDOOR "Fishing Trip" All you need are these simple items:

  1. GoldFish Crackers
  2. Wooden Dowel Rod
  3. Nylon Fishing Line
  4. Paper Clip

How to set up for the "trip"

  1. First, put your "fish" into a small bowl.
  2. Next,  gather the fishing line, the dowel rod, and the paper clip.
  3. Then, tie the fishing line in a small loop, big enough for it to go into the paper clip, but not too big, bigger loops are harder to deal with.
  4. After you are finished with the paper clip/fishing line step, you can get the fishing line with the paper clip and double or triple tie it on the dowel rod, like a fishing pole for tikes!
Here's where the fun begins:

You hide behind the couch with the bowl full of goldfish.
You're child will be standing or sitting on the couch with his or her "fishing pole."
Instruct your child to start lowering his/her "fishing pole" into the lake (behind the couch.) But warn them not to put it down there too fast or they will scare the fish (in other words, so you won't get hit, lol) When its down there and your child is "Waiting for a bite" put a goldfish in the hole of the paper clip. Make SURE that it's secure for him/her to pull it up without dropping it
Last, your child will pull up a good snack, and will be proud he caught it herself/himself.

 Enjoy!!
